Vicar's News - 15 August 2021

Updated: Sep 7, 2021

Our video service is available here (on Sunday morning)

Join our Morning Prayer Zoom service (bi-lingual) at 9am on Sunday here

This morning in our video service (see the link above) we hear again one of Jesus' I AM sayings from St John's gospel and we consider how Christ is present to us in the Eucharist.

More lockdown

The number of people testing positive for Coronavirus is increasing in Melbourne, so it seems unlikely that the State Government will remove the lockdown restrictions later this week unless there is a substantial fall in the numbers detected by further testing. It is quite possible that this Lockdown #6 will be continued.

Street works

As many of the Church Street shops are closed for business, the council is taking this opportunity to carry out repair works to the footpaths during the day and evenings. This will cause disruption to pedestrian traffic along both sides of the street, the southern (even numbers) side being the subject of the works at the moment.

Please join us for a live service of Morning Prayer on the Zoom platform on Sunday morning at 9am, You can join the service by clicking here.

Meetings this week

Parish Council will meet on TUESDAY at 7.30pm and the St Andrews's Building Group will meet by Zoom on WEDNESDAY at 6pm. The Zoom links will be distributed shortly.
