Grand Organ Master Series continues on Sunday 2 February!

During 2020 Dr Calvin Bowman will play the complete organ works of Johann Sebastian Bach in a series of eleven recitals, on the first Sunday of the month.

The first concert on Sunday 2 February at 2.30pm will include the complete ‘Orgelbüchlein’, BWV 599-644.

It's been ten years since Dr Calvin Bowman presented the complete Bach organ works in a single sitting at the Melbourne International Festival. The critic of 'The Australian' said at the time that 'One had the sense that this was not an interpretation but the voice of Bach ringing through the ages.' Dr Bowman brings his intimate knowledge of these supreme works to St Andrew's, Brighton, throughout 2020.

Highlights from the second concert on Sunday 1 March, ‘Miscellaneous Works I’, will be the Trio Sonata 6, BWV 530; the Partita on ‘Christ, der du bist der Helle Tag’, BWV 766; and the Fantasia and Fugue in G minor, BWV 542.

Admission at the door includes program: Adults $30 / Concession $25 / U18 FREE
