On Sunday morning at 10am we are having a Morning Prayer service, following which we will be joined by the Royal Australian Navy Band for a concert. There will be our usual refreshments afterwards in the narthex, and for the band in the Parish Hall or possibly in the Eastern Courtyard if the weather permits.
Those wishing to receive holy communion should come to either of
the Sat@6 or 8am Sunday services.

Israeli Special Envoy to the Christian World
On Thursday evening, about 65 Christian leaders including Mthr Xeverie and myself, were addressed on-line by Ambassador George Deek, a veteran Israeli diplomat and the country's first Arab Christian ambassador. In April 2026, the Israeli Foreign Minister appointed him as Israel's first-ever Special Envoy to the Christian World, to deepen international ties with Christian communities. Ambassador Deek is a member of the Arab Christian community from Jaffa and previously served as Israel's Ambassador to Azerbaijan.
The Envoy has been appointed to engage with Christian leaders from around the world for open dialogue with those in the land where Christian faith began. Preparations are being made for two great festivals marking the 2,000 yearv anniversary of Christ's Baptism (2030) and his resurrection (2033).
I never thought I would be on a Zoom meeting with Margaret Court and someone who looked suspiciously like Jacinta Allen.
New Garbage Bay
The new garbage bay for the garbage receptacles is now complete, and it will hopefully be in use this week after I acquire a suitable lock that can be opened by the various rubbish contractors.
Driveway gates and fence
Work has commenced on the erection of gates and fencing across the driveway accessing 230A & B, and the Garden of Remembrance. The posts are in place but we need a level concrete path installed across the driveway for the sliding gate. This should be poured early next week. Once the concrete has cured the rest of the structure will be installed, along with a computerised board which will allow us to set the opening times and provide a keypad for access out of hours.
Confirmation
On Sunday evening last, we were visited by our Bishop, The Right Reverend Dr Paul Barker, for the confirmation of Corey East-Bryans. It was a splendid early evening service, the last formal visit by +Paul before the Diocesan restructure puts us in a different episcopal area.
Following the service there were some refreshments in the Lady Chapel.
Gardening
As usual, Gail, Ken and Michael have been busy in the gardens, preparing the Eastern Courtyard for spring by pruning the plantings. Many thanks for this tiring work in cold weather. Many thanks for their care and attention to our garden areas.
