Lavers & Westlake, Annunciation 1900, St George's Hardingham, Norfolk
The Annunciation
The Annunciation is the celebration of the Angel Gabriel announcing to the Virgin Mary that she would conceive and bear Jesus, the Son of God. Celebrated nine months before Christmas. It signifies the Incarnation - God becoming human, Mary's voluntary "yes" (fiat) to God's plan, and the initiation of salvation history.

Our Youngest server
If you happen to cross paths with our youngest server-to-be at St Andrew’s,
do be sure to offer a cheerful hello.

“Mr Jack,” as he proudly introduces himself, is all of three years old—but age, as he proves week by week, is no barrier to serving at the altar. With steady little hands he carries the offering bowl, and at this Wednesday’s service he even stepped forward during the Blessing to assist in sending us out with joy. We welcome children of every age: bring them to church, let them grow up within the rhythms of our Divine Liturgy, and allow their hearts to be shaped early by the beauty of worship.

Through the generosity of a donor, we are having a silent auction over the remainder of Lent and Holy Week to raise money towards the installation of gates and fencing between the Lady Chapel and 230A New Street (behind the church) to reduce the incidence of anti-social behaviour in the Garden of Remembrance and the Eastern Courtyard. A flyer can be downloaded here. Check out the items following the 10am service.
Through the generosity of another donor, we have a donation of $10,000 towards the gates and quotes are being obtained for this work to proceed. So please consider bidding and/or donating to this project.
