Angel of the Plains ca. 21st century.–Péterfy, László
Holy Spirit Catholic Church. Paks, Hungary

Pentecost 8

In this weekend's Gospel reading, "sowing good seeds" is a metaphor investing our time, faith, actions and resources into things that honour God, which ultimately will yield a positive harvest of spiritual growth and blessings. Just like a farmer who plants a seed and waits for a plant to grow, the things you do today will grow and come back to you later.

Welcome

Today we welcomed members of the Were family to our 10am Eucharist and for the interment of the ashes of the late Judy Were, long-time member of our Wednesday service.

Birthdays

It was happy birthday to both Jill and Robert Timms on 16 July. We celebrated on Wednesday, St Swithin's Day, at Dendy Deli after the 10.30am service.

Parish Hall toilet

The Parish Hall toilet has been renovated. It is a unisex toilet for those using our hall.

Mazi Cafe

Whilst the café is closed, we have to carry out the replacement of its switchboard and the installation of a chute to give access to the new garbage area to be constructed on

St Andrew's Street.

Concert

Some of you will remember Robert Sholl from his time here at St Andrew's before leaving to study overseas. His mother, Ann, comes to Sat@6. Robert is giving an organ recital at St Paul's Cethedral this week.
