Pentecost 22
Our Gospel passage this weekend contains prophecies from Jesus about the destruction of the Jerusalem Temple, false prophets, and the persecution of his followers. The passage serves as a warning against focusing on temporary institutions, such as the temple, and instead urges believers to remain firm in their faith during times of hardship and persecution. The core message is one of endurance: even when things fall apart, believers can have hope and trust that God is with them, and they will be given the wisdom and courage to bear witness to their faith.
There is to be a rally along Church Street on Sunday morning. I understand people will be gathering outside the church and that pasrtof Church Street might be closed. So if you see people congregating there, they are not invading us. If you need to join them, we will understand.

Parish Lunch - St Andrew's Day

Last year was a huge success so please join us on 30 November. Please book before 27 November as numbers must be given to the caterer on that day.
Parking Permits

If you access the New Street car park, then you will now need a Parking Permit to affix to your windscreen to avoid being towed away. Permits will be available for the next few weeks after each service from Sunday - no rush. We will need to collect details about your car so that we can have the car park policed to ensure illegal parking no longer occurs. Permits are for parishioners, café staff, Op Shop volunteers and those regularly attending services here.
