PENTECOST 14

Lucas Cranach the Younger, Christ as the Good Shepherd, 1540
Lucas Cranach the Younger, Christ as the Good Shepherd, 1540

In this weekend's Gospel, Jesus presents the parables of the lost sheep and the lost coin, which he tells in response to Pharisees grumbling about his welcoming of sinners and tax collectors. Both parables illustrate that, just as a shepherd rejoices over a found sheep and a woman celebrates finding a lost coin, God and his angels rejoice over a single sinner who repents.

CHOIR VALEDICTORY SERVICE

On Sunday at 10am, we farewell those year 12 students who are leaving the choir to prepare for their VCE exams. We will be making a presentation to each of Jared Thomas, Jarvis Rowe, & Rocco Theuma. As our current Head Chorister, Jared, is leaving us, we will also be inducting the new Head Chorister, Anthony Tian.
