The Reverend Kenyon McKie - Vicar
The Reverend Kenyon McKie has been the Incumbent of St Andrew's Church Brighton since 13th January 2004.
Prior to this, Kenyon was Dean of Goulburn at St Saviour's Cathedral Goulburn (the Anglican Diocese of Canberra & Goulburn) and also had oversight of the Archdeaconry of Goulburn.
Kenyon has also ministered in several parishes of the Diocese of Canberra and Goulburn (Bega, Southern Monaro, Queanbeyan) and has served as Archdeacon of the South Coast and Monaro, where he was involved with various senior committees.
Other church related activities include Kenyon being a member of the General Synod and National Spiritual Adviser to the Cursillo Movement in Australia.
Having attended the University of London from 1989 - 1991, Kenyon was the Lucas Tooth Scholar at Kings College. Kenyon also holds a M.Th. (Lond.); BTh (Hons), BA, Dip Ed, Dip Min.
Kenyon's ministry goals for St Andrew's Church Brighton are:
- To enable people to encounter Christ in their day to day life
- To allow liturgy and worship to live so that the spiritual life and faith of people is enhanced and grows
- To convey the relevance, richness and unique nature of the Anglican Tradition
- To nurture the meditative and contemplative traditions of the church and make them accessible for people
- To encourage pilgrimage and journey in the physical and spiritual lives of people
- To be aware of and respond to those living on the margins of society
Kenyon is married with children.
Reverend Sam Goodes - Assistant Curate
Sam comes to ordained ministry after working for 20 years as a Nurse.
Born in Adelaide, he moved to Melbourne in 2002. He began studying at Trinity College Theological School in 2004, and completed a Master of Divinity and Diploma of Ministry in 2007. He was ordained as a Deacon in February this year, and then commenced as Assistant Curate in the parish.
Sam has a great love for a wide variety of musical styles, and enjoys all aspects of liturgical planning and worship.
He is looking forward to serving God amongst the people of St. Andrew’s, Brighton.
Mr Tom Healey - Director of Music
Tom commenced as Director of Music at St Andrew’s in August of 2006. He was previously on the staff of Geelong Grammar School for many years, which included eleven years as Director of Music at the school. He was also Director of Chapel Music and a teacher of senior English and History, as well as Music. Tom brings long experience as a choral conductor, organist, singer and teacher to St Andrew’s. His choral conducting studies have included time at the Westminster Choir College, Princeton, and the University of Melbourne. He has a wealth of experience working with both youth and adult choirs, including direction of the ‘Youth Sings’ choir of the 2006 RSCM Summer School at Newman College. As an organist, he has studied with Douglas Lawrence and his appointments have included time at Trinity College (University of Melbourne), Ballarat Cathedral and St Francis’ Church Lonsdale Street, as well as assisting at Ormond College when a student there.
Lisa Bornyan — Parish Administrator
Lisa very much enjoys working at St Andrew's and the environment within
the church. She is always happy to assist people with information and advice,
all with a friendly smile. She will endeavour to answer all enquiries and
also is happy to direct you to the relevant committee or the appropriate
person to assist.
Lisa joined the team of St Andrew's as the Parish Administrator in October
2003.
She has over 20 years experience in small business, her skills include all aspects of office management with a thorough knowledge of church activities. Her private interests include Ceramics and playing Social Tennis.

Fiona Gumbrell - Parish Accountant
Fiona commenced employment at St. Andrew’s in January 2009. Currently, Fiona is self employed in the Bookkeeping industry whilst raising a young family.
Fiona has worked in the accounting industry for over ten years, including the last three years in her own business. Fiona has a Diploma of Accounting and is currently working towards her Advanced Diploma of Accounting.
Fiona and her family are long standing Parishioners and she is enjoying working in the Parish Office one and a half days a week.
