Andy Bear's Playgroup and Mainly Music Programme

Andy Bear's Playgroup is for parents and carers of pre-schoolers. Our playgroup is based on Christian principles and run by Christian volunteers from St Andrew's Parish.
We welcome new and current families to join us fortnightly on Mondays during school term time, between 10am and 12noon in the Parish Hall at St Andrew's Brighton. We offer structured and unstructured play time. Structured play time includes activities such as story time (where your imagination is the limit) or making craft such as paintings, drawings, or Christmas and Easter cards. Unstructured play time is where the children get to play with a variety of toys that encourage them to explore and develop their personal skills as well as enjoying the benefits of socialising with other children of similar age.
Morning tea, generally fruit except for special occasions, as well as tea and coffee are supplied for the parents and carers. It is suggested that children have their own drink and snack supplied by you. Whilst enjoying a warm cuppa we encourage group discussion on subjects that interest you or we invite someone special to come in.
It's a great place to make new friends or catch up with old friends in a safe and secure environment )away from the winter chill). Parking is available via New Street.

Mainly Music Programme

Started in 1990, mainly music is a fun music group for parents or primary care givers to enjoy together with their young child. Children develop gross and fine motor skills, language, imagination, mathematical and pre-reading skills, as well as socialising with others. Each mainly music is associated wih and is run by volunteers from a local church. Children are introduced to music, creativity and more, plus families are given a chance to think about the God-part of life.
The aim of mainly music is to provide an environment where children develop skills to enhance their preschool education, through the use of music, rhythm, rhyme and other music related activities with the participation of a parent or primary caregiver.
