MOPS - Mothers of Preschoolers

MOPS is for mothers of preschoolers. At St.Andrew's we welcome new Mums at any time with children from 0 to school age.

MOPS is a programme where Mums get two hours completely free of their children - once the children have been settled into the Moppetts room [which is adjacent to the Mums room ] the Mums come into the MOPS room where they are welcomed by a delicious home made morning tea- have a coffee catchup chat then settle in to hear the speaker - after which more coffee if so desired- then a craft activity, by which time it is time to collect the little ones.

The MOPPETTS Children  a looked after by Carers [ grandmother types] the babies play happily with supervision ,but the 3/4 year olds have more structured play time.

Meeting Schedule

When? Monday, 10:00am - 12:00pm fortnightly in term time. Cost is $8

MOPS Aust. has a curriculum which the we follow at our discretion - every topic is to encourage the Mums in their role as Mums & grow as individuals - the programme is quite varied - educational - pampering - philosophical - creative etc. The MOPS Mums at St.Andrew's are from all over the world, UK.Europe.,U.S., N.Z, & Australians they are warm & welcoming to any new Mum who wants to join us. The MOPS Mums are mentored by four Mentors from different career backgrounds.
Apart from meeting regularly MOPS Mums will often meet for coffee - dinner - cinema - or an Art Walk - we are a vibrant collection of Mums & Mentors [ retirees] & Carers & welcome new Mums into our MOPS group.

MOPS Australia & International is based on Christian principles & run by Christian volunteers from St.Andrew's parish. We try to live out our faith in meeting the everyday needs of these Mums. Come & join us. MOPS is a lovely place to be!
