St Andrew's Brighton

About Us — From the Vicar

Welcome to St Andrew’s Brighton – Victoria's oldest continuing Anglican church.

We are a welcoming and supportive community of people from around the Bayside area and beyond. We come from all walks of life, all age groups and all ethnic backgrounds.

As a parish we are fortunate to have a large team of clergy and staff, including myself as Vicar, two Curates, an Organist and Director of Music, Thomas Heywood, and a large Choir of mostly Choral Scholars from Brighton and Firbank Grammar Schools.

We are therefore able to offer a number of different ministries within the parish including Chinese language services, mainly music for pre-schoolers, Sunday School for primary school-aged children, and Youth Group.

Hospitality is central to what we do at St Andrew’s Brighton. Throughout the year we offer a number of activities and events for everyone.

St Andrew’s has been at the centre of the Brighton and Bayside Communities since 1842, offering pastoral services such as baptisms, weddings and funerals. If we are able to assist you in any way, please feel free to go to the relevant section of this website or go straight to the Contact Us section.

Please enjoy all that St Andrew’s Brighton has to offer.

The Reverend Canon Jan Joustra
